Thankful Thursday!


A few years ago, we had the joy of meeting a young man who was a year 12 student at Toowoomba Grammar School. They were doing a fundraiser for Protea Place during Covid. From then, he stayed in touch with us. Always keen to lend a hand in any way he could.


His name is Jeremy and he recently turned 21. For his 21st party with his mates, he asked for no gifts, but instead a donation to Protea Place.


We are so incredibly honoured to have this exceptional young man stand with us in supporting vulnerable women in our community.


To his parents, how proud you must be ! Because we certainly are! So to Jeremy (who I know will be incredibly embarrassed at this acknowledgment, sorry not sorry ) we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.


Happy 21st buddy, we are richer for knowing you and here’s to an incredible future ahead for you!

Your care and support will make a real difference in the lives of the women we serve. Happy International Women's Day 2025 from Millmerran! Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day with the Millmerran Collective and community, filled with incredible generosity! We are beyond excited to announce that they raised an overwhelming $45,000 towards our Protea Place Women’s Accommodation Project! This brings our total to a remarkable $941,061, bringing us even closer to purchasing a property in 2025 to provide safe haven for vulnerable women in our region.
